Rules:

  • Copied speeches and plagiarism are not to be accepted. It is highly important for the ideas of the speeches to be the students’ ideas because this is the only manner in which the evolution provided by this educational experience can be an authentic one;
  • Students can take part in only one section since the Romanian and the English sections are going to happen simultaneously.
  • It is important for the students and for the teachers who prepare the students, to use the Mark Scheme included within this Set of Rules in the preparation process since students are assessed based on their ideas, nonverbal communication, originality, spontaneity and stage movement;
  • The students who read their speeches will not be granted any points. Therefore, we encourage the students to prepare thoroughly for the competition, to conceive their speeches alone so that they represent their own thoughts and to learn it;
  • The students and the coordinating teachers can watch the volunteering speeches from TED as preparation for the competition: https://www.ted.com/search?q=volunteering.
